- Course will cover proper selection of test, detail theory, Test procedures as per IS / International codes including sampling procedures , preparation of test samples, requirements of test equipments / instruments, calculations / statistical analysis , interpretation of test results and site co-relation of every test.
- Soil Lab Tests such as – Specific Gravity, Moisture content, Grain size Analysis, Free swell Index, Atterbergs Limit ( LL & PL) and Plasticity Index, Classification of soil as per I.S., Modified Proctor test, Direct shear Test
- Unconfined Compressive Strength of Rock cube / cylinder
- Field tests such as – Preparation of test pits, Soil / rock exploration by Augur boring, Deep boaring, Standard Penetration Test, Plate load test, Field C.B.R. , Resistivity method, Soil sampling,
- Bitumen Tests such as – Bitumen - Softening Point , Penetration Test , Flash & Fire Point , Specific Gravity , Ductility Test , Viscosity
- Bitumen Binder Content, Marshall Stability Test, Bituminous Concrete / Macadam Mix Design
